Gateway

A gateway is a small black or white box that says "Digi" and should be located near your modem and router.

The Digi gateway is the connection between your thermostat and the EcoFactor service.  It communicates and transfers information between your thermostat and router, allowing the EcoFactor service to run on your thermostat.

 

There are no known issues with the Digi gateway signal range within one structure.  Separate buildings may need separate gateways, but this should be discussed with your HVAC technician.

Important!  The gateway must be connected to an always-on Internet connection on your Home Area Network in order for the EcoFactor service to run with full functionality.
