Mode

Mode refers to the part of your HVAC system that runs to meet a target temperature.

Homes may have one (1) or two (2) modes depending upon the system.
  • Heat Mode:  signals the heating function of an HVAC unit to warm the space when it drops below a target temperature
  • Cool Mode:  signals the air conditioning function of an HVAC system to cool the space when it rises above a target temperature
